What Is Delta 11 THC VS D9 And D10?

THC derivatives are dominating the cannabis industry. Who is the newest kid on the block? THC Delta 11.

Delta 11 has made a name for itself as an intense and long-lasting high. But how good is this variety, and how does it compare to the good old D9 and D10?

I will tell you precisely what Delta 11 THC is, where you can get it, and why it is worth keeping an eye on. Let us explore the realm of D11 THC, a promising but little-known cannabinoid. Continue reading to the end for our favorite D11-containing products!

What is Delta 11 THC

Delta 11 (also known as delta-11-tetrahydrocannabinol) is a rare and naturally occurring type of Delta THC.

You have probably heard of Delta 8 or 9 THC. Delta 9 THC is the most prevalent cannabinoid in type 1 cannabis (THC dominating). Delta 11 is merely a different type.

All forms of Delta THC have comparable molecular structures. Insider tip: the number after Delta (e.g., 8 or 10) simply refers to the location of the double bond on the carbon chain.

Delta 11 THC, like Delta 8 THC, is present in trace levels in hemp and cannabis. However, extraction is uneconomical due to the volume of hemp required to make it worthwhile. As a result, it is uncommon. Delta 11 THC, like Delta 8 THC, is commonly generated in cannabis products by cannabinoid conversion. This is a simple laboratory method in which another cannabinoid, such as CBD, is converted into Delta 11.

Delta 11 THC is frequently considered a more potent variant of Delta 9. Delta 11 is claimed to have effects comparable to Delta 9 but more powerful. D11 is also thought to have a more long-lasting effect in comparison.

Delta 11 THC, however, has received very little research due to its new status. A preclinical in-vitro study on the variation was conducted in the 1990s, which remains the last study on it

11 Hydroxy VS Delta 11 THC

If you search Delta 11 in Google, a plethora of information about 11 Hydroxy THC will appear. However, these two compounds are not the same. Yes. D11 THC does not equal 11-HXY-THC.

First, unlike Delta 11 THC, 11 Hydroxy THC does not occur naturally. The body’s metabolization of Delta 9 THC results in 11 Hydroxy THC. Delta 9 THC is transformed into Hydroxy THC and then into THC COOH from intake to extraction. This frequently happens when you consume cannabis in edible form. The liver breaks down 11 Hydroxy THC when it is consumed.

While 11 Hydroxy THC is an active metabolite, Delta 11 THC is a somewhat different version of Delta 9 THC. As a result, it begins the chemical process and, when digested by the liver, becomes 11 Hydroxy THC.

Delta 11 THC Benefits

I do not know much about Delta 11 THC because there is very little data on it outside of the 1990 in-vitro study. Yet.

However, I could predict comparable effects based on the evidence I have on other types of Delta THC (e.g., 8 and 9).

It is considered that all types of Delta THC are equally potent. However, anecdotal evidence suggests that the Delta 11 THC high lasts longer and hits faster.

Because of a lack of research, I believe D11 may offer similar medical advantages to Delta 8 and 9 THC, but this needs to be proven as any potential negative effects.

According to research, THC has the following medicinal benefits:

  • Reduce anxiety
  • Reduce nausea
  • Ease Stress
  • Manage pain
  • Reduce insomnia
  • Ease anxiety
  • Alleviate anorexia
  • Help treat muscle spasticity
  • Help treat glaucoma

And some of the effects associated with THC include:

  • Euphoria
  • Relaxation
  • Intoxication
  • Laughter
  • Sedation
  • Increased appetite
  • Increased energy
  • Altered sense of time

Note that this effect is subject to individual’s reactions to THC

Delta 11 Side Effects

Because Delta 11 THC is a kind of Delta THC, we expect it to have the same side effects as Delta 8 and 9.

According to current studies, THC can induce transient adverse effects.

Here are a few of the most typical negative effects of Delta 8 and 9 THC:

  • Tachycardia (increased heart rate)
  • Dry mouth (colloquially called “cotton mouth”)
  • Anxiety
  • Memory loss
  • Red or bloodshot eyes
  • Paranoia
  • Drowsiness
  • Disorientation
  • Panic attacks
  • Reduced reaction times

Delta 11 THC Products for sale

There are currently relatively few Delta 11 THC products available. This explains how new this cannabinoid is in the hemp industry.

I was privileged to experience one of the market’s few Delta 11 products: Ghost Delta 11 vape, which I got on Superstrain, and it is simply magical.
